Costa Fes cost me a light cover, but saved my light, so fair trade. Quick trip to the Daiso and I'm up and running with a styling blue protector, yay!

We took a trip out to VLHL on Sunday. Not a bad day of airsoft at all!

The staff was really friendly and the field was unique!

First field test of my new G19 on the weekend. Shot well, but mags need to be heated around 20 degrees for good effect. Gonna upgrade to tight bore barrel and new bucking tonight.

  

Quick rundown of how I filled in my trades, because I'm bored and I LOVE this new G19. Step one was a quick visit to the Daiso for some very simple supplies: Alcohol wet wipes, white nail polish and non-acetone nail polish remover wipes. Total cost about 300yen.


Next step, disassemble the slide so it's easier to work with and wipe it down with an alcohol wipe to clean any dirt and oil. Dry it, and then apply nail polish over the trades, make sure it's enough to fill the trades.




Next, breakout a nail remover wipe, and carefully swipe up and down across the trades (side to side causes streaking between letters). Keep changing locations on the wipe as it starts to absorb more polish. Once you're satisfied leave it to dry, or use a hair dryer to speed up the process.




After that reassemble and enjoy the kickass new look! Also did the same with the mag round counter markings. Didn't do the circles under, since they're supposed to show how many rounds you have left, but I might do them later with a bronze paint or something.









  

Couldn't leave well enough alone, had to gussy up my new Glock by filling in the markings. Looks like it came out well!
  

Nice little package waiting for me after Costa Fes yesterday, my new Glock 19! This one is a WE model from Taiwan, and I feel like they've been getting better with each new release.







Really like the Gen 4 grips, and the overall weight and feel is great.


Internals look solid, but the action felt a little rough so I added some TM silicon oil and it seemed to smooth it out. WE Glocks continue to be mostly clones of TM Glocks. So I tested out a TM mag, and it fit. but needed a tap to seat fully. Firing tests showed it could work, but the WE Glocks with their heavier slides need more gas than the standard valve on a TM mag can feed, so it would not lock back when I tested it.






That said, the default short mag that comes with it works great, again thanks to the high flow valve I think. Here's some video of it running of HFC134a, very snappy!



Messed around with some attachments, of course with a standard light on the front, it looks ridiculous, but I probably won't mount a light on mine since I bought it for it's smaller and simpler form factor. I should note the slide is not to spec for a G19, it's a bit wider, similar to how TM G17 are. It still fits my Glock holster a bit snug, but nothing that wear and sanding can't fix. Finally I did my traditional painting of the front post to red, which is what I prefer. Sight picture is pretty good.




Somewhere down the line I'll add a tight bore barrel, and I'd like to fill in the trades for a sharper look. can't wait to field it!

Broke out my old warbelt for Costa Fes at TSP tomorrow. Black and Tan for life.
  

Got a new Plan Beta Integrated Camera Unit, a cheap guncam with a pressure swtich. So far I think for the price it's a solid buy, but I'll have to test it more to know for sure.

Dice here, OP4's main field was OPS for a very long time. We have enjoyed many great airsoft battles, met a lot of cool players and were able to develop as a team. The staff always welcomes us by name and it is definitely our home field, so it just wouldn't be right if we didn't kick it off there!
