WE G19
Nice little package waiting for me after Costa Fes yesterday, my new Glock 19! This one is a WE model from Taiwan, and I feel like they've been getting better with each new release.
Really like the Gen 4 grips, and the overall weight and feel is great.
Internals look solid, but the action felt a little rough so I added some TM silicon oil and it seemed to smooth it out. WE Glocks continue to be mostly clones of TM Glocks. So I tested out a TM mag, and it fit. but needed a tap to seat fully. Firing tests showed it could work, but the WE Glocks with their heavier slides need more gas than the standard valve on a TM mag can feed, so it would not lock back when I tested it.
That said, the default short mag that comes with it works great, again thanks to the high flow valve I think. Here's some video of it running of HFC134a, very snappy!
Messed around with some attachments, of course with a standard light on the front, it looks ridiculous, but I probably won't mount a light on mine since I bought it for it's smaller and simpler form factor. I should note the slide is not to spec for a G19, it's a bit wider, similar to how TM G17 are. It still fits my Glock holster a bit snug, but nothing that wear and sanding can't fix. Finally I did my traditional painting of the front post to red, which is what I prefer. Sight picture is pretty good.
Somewhere down the line I'll add a tight bore barrel, and I'd like to fill in the trades for a sharper look. can't wait to field it!
