Cyclone Grenades Test
Still working out how this new grenade works, but seems pretty solid so far. Like the smaller size and flashbang look. HFC134a video test also included.

TMC Strandhogg
Getting the old repro out of mothballs. I actually like the rig a lot, just too hot for most seasons. Now that it's getting chilly, should be perfect!

DOC PTW
Here's a bit of an overview of the Drifter ORGA Custom (DOC) PTW. Assembled and tuned by ORGA airsoft, and kitted to my personal preferences, it's built on a Systema PTW Value Kit, with an ORGA Magnus barrel and Firefly Hop to increase it's accuracy. Otherwise it's internally a standard PTW. Starting from the front of the gun, you'll notice I went with a shorter CQB version, with a 10.3 inch barrel, that is slightly extended about 2 cm with a CW to CCW thread adapter. This was so I could attach my Dytac made Lantac Dragon Costa edition muzzle brake.
As you can see, the length works out perfectly, with all ports clearing the rail. The timing is also perfect thanks to a crush washer/rubber gasket combo. Continuing the front end overview, I installed a Dytac Bravo Company Keymod Rail, 10 inch version, in Dark Earth.
The rail is great, being both super-light and thin. It has keymod slots on 7 sides, and a full MIL-STD-1913 rail on top. Installing the rail required the removal of standard M4 style front sight post, and the use of a low profile gas block. I didn't post a picture here, but it's a pretty standard low profile style gas block from Dtyac, with a BCM star printed on it. Check previous post for pics.
I've mounted a Night Evolution M300 Scout style weapon light at the 9 o'clock position, using a 5 slot keymod rail section. It's connected to a dual control pad, which features a momentary pressure pad and constant on button. I've capped the light with a red flip lens protector. Also on top is a Magpul RSA, replica MBUS Pro front flip sight. The PEQ-15 is a dummy box is filled various items related to this gun, like spare batteries for the dot sight and light, fuses and a spare magazine loader adapter for PTW mags. Again, see previous posts for a full rundown.
On the bottom of the rail is a BCM Gunfighter Keymod short vertical grip, in FDE. I like this grip, since the slight slant and shorter size make it a good handstop, while still allowing me to use it like a VG when I need to. In front of that is a keymod GoPro mount, for occasions when I want to do some gun cam. Together, they form a very comfortable hand hold, that also allows me to manipulate my light switch when needed.
The receiver remains standard, and I went with a unmarked version. I topped it with my trust old Dytac T-1 style red dot, in a KAC style light QD mount.
Little further back I've added a replica MBUS Pro rear sight with a black ladder style rail protector. Also swapped out the standard charging handle with a ambi-style Raptor replica.
Rounding out the receiver, I've swapped the standard pistol grip and trigger guard with MOE PTS replacements in FDE. It's always the same on all my ARs, because it always works. Finally at the back, I've went with a mil-spec MFT Battlelink Minimalist Stock. There's a little wobble, but I like the look and feel. Also, it's much easier to remove than a Magpul CTR, which makes battery swaps easier.
Finally, the fuel for the fire, I use Fight Club Custom Gen 3 Magupl PMAGs. They hold about 150 BBs, and have worked pretty well so far. Marked my mags using the matrix system on the mags, to help with maintenance and avoid confusion at games.
Overall, my impressions of the gun so far are positive. It's a race car of a gun, with all the same pros and cons involved. It has the best trigger response of any airsoft gun I've fired, and I've fired most. But it requires care and maintenance like most high end machines. As far as competition in my collection, my Tokyo Marui M4 Next Gen Recoil is probably the one I compare it to. Both have features meant to increase their realism, and I still enjoy TM's more reliable bolt lock system and easier hop adjustment. Which is better? Not sure yet, but hopefully after a full year I'll have a better picture.
