Decided to try out some inserts in my new plate carrier, but didn't want to dedicate the cash to actually buying some dummy plates I might hate. Instead, used some of my strategic reserve of duct tape, foam and cardboard to slap together a cheap alternative, just to test out if I even like the feel. Already like it just for the way it makes the vest look less floppy:

Whole thing took about an hour and a half with clean up. Need to break'em in a bit since they're just flat right now, but not minding the feel so far.
